The 2 1/2 year old bull (903L) has been used a couple times for breeding, he was very young the first time. We got one bull calf and 1 heifer calf from him last Fall. Still looking forward to this year's births.
903M is the most suitable of these for Baldy makers. He would be okay (I Think ) with Angus heifers as well.We will be able to get a semen test in mid-May. He has the best overall EPDs and some like that his frame size is slightly bigger than the others.
904M would be ideal for Hereford or maybe Charolais crosses. This is from discussion with a gentlemen who was looking for whiteface hereford bulls to cross with Charolais dams and make what he called "Rednecks". 904M has an above average Calving ease and a slightly below average actual birthweight. Any crosses with breeds having heavier Birth weights would seem to be an option. This would be about a dozen other breeds. He would be okay on Mature Angus and I have seen folks use these values on Angus Heifers as well but I don't recommend for Angus heifers.
903L would fit into the same programs as 904M. His bull calf from last October has had some excellent growth. He's bigger than Bull calves born a month earlier.
