The 2 1/2 year old bull (903L) has been used a couple times for breeding, he was very young the first time. We got one bull calf and 1 heifer calf from him last Fall. Still looking forward to this year's births.
903M is the most suitable of these for Baldy makers. He would be okay (I Think ) with Angus heifers as well.We will be able to get a semen test in mid-May. He has the best overall EPDs and some like that his frame size is slightly bigger than the others.
904M would be ideal for Charolais crosses. This is from discussion with a gentlemen who was looking for whiteface hereford bulls to cross with Charolais dams and make what he called "Rednecks". 904M has an above average Calving ease and a slightly below average actual birthweight. Any crosses with breeds having heavier Birth weights would seem to be an option. This would be about a dozen other breeds. He would be okay on Mature Angus and I have seen folks use these values on Angus Heifers as well but I don't recommend for Angus heifers.
903L would fit into the same programs as 904M. His bull calf from last October has had some excellent growth. He's bigger than Bull calves born a month earlier.
